Floater Frames are intended to be used for Stretched Canvas Art. They can also be used for pictures painted on panels. It is virtually impossible to use these frames with glass as there is no good way to hold the glass into the frame. What makes these frames so great is that they do not cover any of your arts edges. We work closely with you on these frames to make sure you get the size you need for your art.
Wood frames will always be sent fully assembled except in very rare cases. Note: A customer representative will always verbally contact you before you ever receive a wood frame UN-assembled.
Notice that when you place your mouse over the image of the frame you get three options and some clarification. The clarification is that you will see a larger image of the frame so that you can see more detail of the frame as well as easier see the arrows showing you all the pertinent size information of the frame. Notice the three choices that are available when the image peels back:
You can “CONTINUE” on to Isolate the frame. Here you can load it with all the components you need or order up just the frame.
You can select the “order sample” link and purchase a piece of moulding to see the color and texture of the frame before you order it.
Select the “add to favorites” link and save the item to be recalled later. You can find your favorite items in a link named "Favorites" just under the "Home" button at the top of the page in the Side Navigation Area. Log in and become a register member and these favorites will be saved forever.
From this page any one of these frames can be taken to the cart in just a few more clicks. Note that if you incur an oversize shipping fee (fee easily seen in the shopping cart) we can often remove it if you are willing to assemble the large frame that is causing the oversize fee yourself. We sometime persuade customers to purchase acrylic and backing board materials local to them so that we can send them just the frame Un-assembled thus saving them the oversize shipping fees. It usually does not make sense to order acrylic and backing board from us and get oversize fees for just these items.
