Both of the mat board choices below are made by Crescent Paper Company. Both types of mat boards are the same thickness (4ply about 1/16"). All of our mat boards will arrive looking equally as beautiful. Decorative Paper Mat Boards (Crescent Berkshire): Select this mat board option if you want to get a low cost mat board, they are about half the cost of acid free mats. These mats are not acid free mats. They are what furniture framing companies use for production framing. Acid free conservation archival mat Boards (Crescent Select): Select this mat board option if you want to go with an acid free mat board. These mats are safe to use on original fine art. They are safe to come in contact your fine art work. Full sheet Picture Mat Boards come as 32" x 40" boards. There is great savings when you buy multiple mat board sheets. This is due to shipping. If you order 1 sheet of mat board the box we send you the mat board in is almost the exact same size as the one we send 15 mat board sheets in. So it benefits you to order multiples. If for any reason you need custom cut mats you should check out our custom mat board area section because we make perfect custom cut mats and they are priced very competitively. We have made every effort to make the mat board colors look as close as we can to their true colors but they are not perfect because everyone's monitor colors come across a bit different. There are over a million whites in the world so showing you the subtle differences online is impossible.
