This medium brown wood profile has a down-to-earth, woodsy finish with decorative distress along the outer edge, reminiscent of the feel of a mountain forest. The body of the profile has additional markings to simulate the look of wormwood. There is also a very small 1/8” rounded, concave step along the inner lip, which is the same color as the body, and the sheen is matte.
In our Eugene, Oregon showroom, Web Picture Frames has used this moulding to frame a Smoky the Bear poster, along with Forest Service maps and other similar items. If you enjoy outdoor recreation and wilderness, this profile might be a good option for framing memorabilia from a hiking trip, or to frame your child’s award from Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, or summer camp.
If you are considering this moulding to frame summer camp memorabilia, keep in mind that the rabbet depth is only 7/16”. While this depth is sufficient for a matted print with glazing and foamcore backing, it might not satisfy shadowbox considerations such as lapel pins, medallions, merit badges, or neckerchiefs
Other color choices in this same profile include V1353 and V1351. Similar profiles in size and color would be V836 and V1413
