Please be aware that this moulding has markings that make it look distressed. We have sold 1000's of frames using this moulding but there are some customers that feel like the markings are flaws and unsightly.
This black and gold wood picture frame features an aged vintage look with a distressed feel across the dark finish and on the gold inner lip. The profile width is 1-1/2”, and the rabbet depth is a mere 5/16”, so this frame is best paired with thin items such as matted prints, photos, drawings, watercolor paintings, and other works on paper.
The look of this vintage distressed black and gold wood picture frame is neutral enough for most home interior settings, and might work especially well on a pastoral landscape featuring trees and perhaps a field. Of course, vintage maps and illustrations of battle ships and other sea vessels could also fit nicely in this frame, and old drawings of people and faces might also be an interesting match, such as prints of Leonardo DaVinci drawings.
