The profiles in this collection support compatible artwork up to 3/8 inch deep. They are commonly used for canvas boards, wood panels, hardboard panels, Ampersand panels, and other rigid artwork. They can also hold compatible thin canvas artwork when its complete depth and mounting requirements fit the selected frame.

Who Benefits From Floater Frame Bundles?

Enter the Exact Artwork Size

Measure the exact edge-to-edge width and height of the artwork itself. Enter those measurements when customizing the frame. Do not increase the artwork dimensions to account for the reveal.

Also measure the artwork's complete depth. Width and height determine the required opening, but depth determines whether the artwork can sit properly within the selected floater profile.

Fixed 1/8-Inch to 3/16-Inch Reveal

The Floater Reveal is the visible gap between each artwork edge and the inside wall of the frame. The frames in this collection use a fixed reveal between 1/8 inch and 3/16 inch on each side: left, right, top, and bottom.

The reveal is not configurable for these bundle products. Its narrow, consistent spacing creates a restrained shadow line that keeps the panel edges visible without allowing the gap to dominate the presentation.

Confirm Artwork Depth and Compatibility

These bundle profiles support artwork up to 3/8 inch deep, but a width and height match alone does not guarantee compatibility. Before ordering, consider:

• The exact artwork width and height
• The complete artwork depth
• The desired position inside the frame
• The fixed 1/8-inch to 3/16-inch reveal
• The artwork's construction and weight
• A safe and appropriate mounting method

Mount Thin Panels Carefully

Thin panels and canvas boards may not provide enough depth for standard screw mounting. The correct mounting method depends on the artwork's material, surface, weight, value, and whether it may need to be removed from the frame later.

Do not assume that generic tape, hook-and-loop material, silicone, glue, or another adhesive is safe for every artwork. Use only an artwork-appropriate method, and consult a conservator or experienced framing professional when the artwork is valuable, fragile, or irreplaceable.

Choose a Coordinated Finish

Matching frames can visually connect separate works without forcing the artwork itself to be identical. Black and dark finishes create a strong, consistent boundary. White and light finishes produce a quieter presentation. Wood-tone finishes can complement natural panel edges, warm colors, and traditional interiors.

When framing a series, consider how the finish, profile width, artwork size, and fixed reveal will look across the entire group rather than evaluating each frame in isolation.
