Please be aware that this moulding has markings that make it look distressed. We have sold 1000's of frames using this moulding but there are some customers that feel like the markings are flaws and unsightly.
This silver Hudson style plein aire picture frame features a distressed look, along with a series of three linear ridges along the inner lip and more ridges along the outer edge. The outer edge also features a concave cylindrical scoop with subtle salmon pink highlights under the silver finish.
The profile width of this silver picture frame is 3”, and the rabbet depth is 5/8”. Whether you are framing a 3/4” thick original painting on stretched canvas or framing matted works on paper, this substantial frame has a commanding but simple presence that speaks to the importance of the artwork without distraction.
Classic oil paintings on canvas are an ideal match for this picture frame, especially art that is rendered in a representational, realistic manner. Other types of art to consider include drawings and watercolor paintings on paper, along with matted prints and posters.
