This soft pine wood picture frame features a distressed brown finish that leans toward red in color, but is in fact a medium brown. The profile shape slants down as it moves outward, followed by a flat smooth brown ridge on the outer edge. The profile width is 1-3/4”, and the rabbet depth is 5/8”.
The general look and feel of this wood picture frame is at first rustic, followed by contemporary sensibilities due to linear profile characteristics that are more refined than the distress markings across the face of the profile. For example, the markings hint at associations of re-purposed materials, including wood with old nail holes, but the overall finish does not look old.
Any outdoorsy theme, including mountains, trees, and wildlife, along with design settings like cabins and lodges are all good associations and complements for this.
