Non-Glare acrylic glazing reflection control (frosted) glazing sheets are designed to minimize reflection and show the art from almost any angle. Highly reflective surfaces can act like a mirror, causing glare and distracting viewers from the artwork you want to display. It is 3/32 inch thick.
Non-glare acrylic, also known as Reflection Control, is a framing-grade acrylic sheet designed to
minimize reflection so that artwork can be enjoyed from almost any angle. By diffusing the reflection,
light disperses across the non-glare surface so that reflective clarity is lost. This characteristic also gives
non-glare acrylic a sort of etched look.
It’s important to note that the non-glare finish is only on one side of the non-glare acrylic sheet, so be
sure to have the non-glare side facing out toward the viewer. If there is to be any spacing between the
art and the non-glare acrylic, such as shadow box walls or spacers, you might consider a different glazing
option, as non-glare acrylic loses clarity as distance is increased.
To clean non-glare acrylic, use the same techniques as regular acrylic – ammonia-free cleaner with a lint-
free microfiber cloth.
