Both Optium Museum Acrylic and Tru Vue Museum Glass provide anti-reflective viewing and 99 percent UV protection. The better material depends on the size, weight, safety requirements and environment of the frame.

• Break resistance: Optium is shatter resistant, while Museum Glass can break during handling or impact.

How to Handle and Clean Optium Museum Acrylic

• Leave the protective film in place until the frame is ready for assembly.
• Handle the sheet by its edges and use clean gloves whenever possible.
• Remove loose particles before wiping the surface.
• Use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth.
• Tru Vue permits cleaning with common household glass cleaners.
• Do not use acrylic cleaners or acrylic polishing agents on Optium Museum Acrylic.
• Avoid scraping the surface or using abrasive pads.

The hard coat provides substantially greater abrasion resistance than ordinary acrylic, but Optium is not scratch proof. Proper handling will preserve its optical coatings and nearly invisible presentation.
