Acrylic - Regular

Regular acrylic looks nearly identical to regular glass. The difference is that regular acrylic is about half the weight of glass, and acrylic is also less brittle so it won’t shatter like glass. The drawback, of course, is that acrylic may scratch if handled improperly or without care.

If you're going to be framing something that's very large, it's always beneficial to minimize weight where you can, so you might consider acrylic. If you have small children or have your art hanging in a high-traffic walkway, you might consider acrylic for its shatter-resistance.
