Regular Picture Frame Glass Explained

Practical guidance for picture framing projects
Clear demonstrations you can review as needed
Help available from experienced picture framing specialists

Regular glass by True Vue is a basic and affordable option that is about three thirty-seconds of an inch thick. It blocks 45% of UV light, which unfortunately is not enough to help preserve your art. You would need to get into the 90 percentile to actually protect against the harmful rays of UV light. If that is your goal, consider Conservation Clear glass instead.

Regular glass is a budget material. You can see in the video that Regular glass can look mirror-like from certain angles. Reflections are more visible in Regular glass than they are in Non-Glare, Anti-Reflective, or Museum glass. If you're hanging your art in an area that gets a lot of light, consider those other so that you don't get that high reflection.
