Order a custom-size raw wood canvas stretcher frame as the support for attaching and tensioning your canvas. Current options include 5/8", 1", and 1-1/2" depths with different bar widths for small, detailed works through larger canvas projects.
These are assembled stretcher frames with permanently joined corners, not loose interlocking bars. Bracing is added to the listed 1-1/2" profiles when the ordered size requires it. Canvas is not included.

Select depth for the final presentation
Depth affects the side profile of the stretched canvas and whether the finished work can fit a separate standard frame or canvas floater frame. Confirm the intended display method before ordering. A frame with a deep rabbet is not automatically appropriate for every stretched canvas.
Order from the canvas dimensions
Use the intended finished stretcher-frame width and height, check squareness, and plan enough canvas beyond the face dimensions to wrap around the bars and attach at the back. The supplied product is the assembled raw wood support; the customer attaches the canvas.
Plan any outer frame separately
If the stretched canvas will receive an outer frame, compare standard frames for canvas with canvas floater frames. Standard frames overlap the artwork edge with a lip, while floater frames create a visible reveal around the canvas. Confirm the completed canvas depth, mounting method, and required clearance before choosing either type.
