Crescent Select Deep Black is an 8-ply solid-core matboard whose dark face and bevel create a continuous black window edge. It gives photography, monochrome artwork, posters, and bold graphic work a strong border with more depth than a standard 4-ply mat. Our framers recommend it when the mat should repeat deep image values or create deliberate contrast, while checking that its visual weight suits the artwork.
