Crescent Select After Dark creates a deep black border with a contrasting white bevel. Its deeply pigmented surface gives photographs, monochrome artwork, posters, and graphic prints a strong, defined transition to the frame. Our framers recommend black when the design benefits from added contrast or repeats dark values in the image, but suggest comparing it with very delicate artwork so the mat does not overpower the subject.

This bundle contains 25 single mats with 8 x 10-inch outside dimensions and 4 1/2 x 6 1/2-inch window openings.

After Dark can reinforce shadows and linework in photography, posters, monochrome artwork, and graphic prints. Its black face creates a strong boundary, while the white bevel keeps a narrow light transition around the opening.

This white-core Crescent Select matboard is alpha-cellulose, acid- and lignin-free, pH buffered, and made with fade- and bleed-resistant color. The white core determines the color visible along the beveled window edge.
