Hardwood Picture Frames
Our custom hardwood picture frames bring real wood grain and natural color to the edge of your artwork. The collection includes maple, oak, and cherry options, with mouldings made from hardwood throughout or finished with a genuine hardwood veneer. Veneer is a layer of real hardwood over a supporting core; the construction and finish are specific to each profile.
Unfinished maple, lightly finished cherry, and oak profiles offer different starting points for pairing a frame with photography, prints, drawings, or paintings. Grain, sheen, and face width influence how strongly the frame surrounds the image, while a deeper profile adds visual presence from the side. These are standard rabbeted picture frames, with an inner lip that overlaps the artwork package.

Hardwood and real hardwood veneer
The frames in this collection are hardwood throughout or have a genuine hardwood veneer. A hardwood veneer is a layer of real hardwood over a supporting core; it does not mean the entire moulding is that hardwood. Construction and wood species vary by profile. Check the individual product details, or contact us if you need a construction detail confirmed before ordering.
Choose the profile for both appearance and fit
Face width, finish, sheen, and profile shape affect how the frame looks around your artwork. Usable rabbet depth determines the space available for the complete package, including any glazing, mats, backing, and spacers. Overall moulding height is not the same as usable rabbet depth. For stretched canvas, confirm the specific profile and fitting method as well as the canvas depth.
