Black Acid-Free Foam Core Details

FCblk is black Bainbridge foam core with an acid-free designation. Its dark face and edge make it useful when white backing would remain visible or distract from a black presentation.

The board is lightweight and rigid, and it is cut to the width and height entered for the order. It can serve as backing or as a support for an attachment method selected for the artwork.

Material and Functional Characteristics

Bainbridge acid-free conservation foamboard uses alkaline-pH paper facings with a textured surface intended to provide adhesive grip. Its opaque facing helps reduce show-through, while the black face and core keep exposed edges dark. This product is not self-adhesive, so hinges, corners, or another appropriate mounting method are selected separately.
