Acid-Free Foam Core Details

FCaf is Bainbridge Artcare acid-free foam core that combines lightweight rigidity with MicroChamber technology designed to absorb and neutralize airborne pollutants. Its opaque, lightly textured soft-white surface reduces show-through and provides tooth for adhesive grip.

The board is cut to the width and height entered for the order. Its standard thickness provides rigid support and is available in larger dimensions than the thin acid-free version.

Best Uses

Choose this board for photographs, prints, documents, and longer-term display projects that call for acid-free support. It may be used as backing or with an attachment method appropriate for the artwork.

Material and Functional Characteristics

The acid-free facing and pollutant-absorbing Artcare technology distinguish this product from regular white foam core. The soft-white surface is made without optical brighteners. Acid-free board alone does not make an entire mounting package reversible or suitable for every valuable object; attachment materials and any artwork-facing layers must also be selected appropriately.
